One of the best ways of determining and controlling the potential hazard to health caused by inhalation of fine asbestos fibres is to conduct the same air sampling and fibre counting techniques as are recommended by HSE and WHO. There is an appropriate form of air monitoring test for each stage of the asbestos removal process and every other conceivable circumstance besides. They include Static, Background, Reassurance, Personal, Leak and four stage Re-occupation clearance tests applied in a variety of different ways.
