The Asbestos Surveying Division is a specialist UKAS accredited Inspection body within Microtec Air Limited, providing a comprehensive asbestos surveying service to professionals active in the property management and development sectors in accordance with Control of Asbestos Regulations 2006.

A wide range of people potentially have obligations under this regulation, including employers and the self-employed, if they have responsibilities for maintaining or repairing non-domestic premises, and the owner of those premises, whether they are occupied or vacant.

Our surveying services include:

• Types 1, 2 & 3 surveying depending on Customer’s own Aims and Objectives.
• Taking and analysing bulk samples where applicable.
• Compiling reports in hard copy (paper) and/or electronic copies (including document encryption for security).
• Microtec own In-house Database system.
• Photographic reports.
• Material Risk assessments.
• Our surveying services are carried out by fully trained BOHS P402 qualified technicians.

If you find an Asbestos Product in good condition, we can help manage it properly so that it doesn’t become dangerous. Irrespective of condition, once an asbestos product has been identified it mustn’t be ignored. To do so would be considered negligent & indefensible in the eyes of the law hence further steps would need to be taken. Letting us arrange provision of adequate protection from damage & deterioration could well save, reduce or temporarily postpone the comparatively high cost of removal and in preserving the ACM’s latent state Microtec could free you of disruption and inconvenience almost entirely.
